Sciences Career Fair and Symposium:  October 29, 2019

The Career Services Executives Collaborative has agreed to work together to create AUC's first collective Career Fair, set for October 29, 2019, from 1 to 5 pm at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Background/Rationale:   This  career fair and symposium is for students majoring in the life, physical and social sciences.  The event provides opportunity for undergraduate and graduate level students to engage with employers in an array of fields.  

1. Examples of industry, positions and majors include pharma/biotech, market research, data science, contract research (ie. regulatory medical writing, government, museums/foundations.)
2. Intended Majors/Disciplines: biology, chemistry, physics, math, microbiology, psychology, sociology, political science, linguistics, economics, applied health sciences

The Career Services Directors will work together over the next six months to identify and recruit companies, universities and students to attend the career fair. The event will include a keynote for employers, workshops for students and a networking reception.
