America's Urban CAmpus and the Chicago Opportunity Exchange
Starting in the summer of 2018, America's Urban Campus began to work with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce's new Chicago Opportunity Exchange, a job matching software initiative supported by JPMorgan Chase & Co. The software is designed to take the bias out of the initial interaction between students graduating from our universities and companies seeking new hires. The software includes a set of queries whereby a student and express his or her interest in a position based on details about the actual work and work environment. Details can be found here.
Six AUC members piloted the initiative in the Summer/Fall of 2018 and all members have been invited to connect on behalf of their students in the Fall of 2018. Students can now see the job opportunities posted by companies on their university
career services job boards.
